PC Users

USB 1.1 Requirements:

1. Pentium 166MHz processor or higher with built-in USB 1.1 (Some USB controllers or motherboards may not support all types of USB devices); Speeds limited to 4x4x6 with USB 1.1 interface.
   
   
2. Microsoft Windows 98 / 98SE / 2000 / Me (Windows XP compatible if you are using Iomega HotBurn software or Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum or higher)
   

   Note: Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 3.X, Windows XP, Windows CE and Pocket PC operating systems are not supported when using the software that shipped with the drive.

3. Must meet recommended RAM requirements for your operating system (See your OS manual for details)
   
   
4. CD-ROM drive or 740MB hard drive space to copy CDs
   
   
5. CD-ROM drive (for software installation)
   
   
6. Sound Blaster compatible sound card for audio playback
   
   
7. 55MB hard drive space required for CD mastering software. Other included software titles will require additional hard drive space.
   
   
8. Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher or Netscape Navigator 4.5 or higher (to view User''s Manual)
   
   

Additional Requirements for USB 2.0:

1. 200 MHz processor with high speed USB 2.0 adapter card (sold separately) Hi-Speed USB 2.0 required to achieve maximum 16x10x40 speeds.
   
   
2. To achieve maximum 16X record/write speed your system may require data to be copied first to the computer''s hard drive rather than directly from another source disc or drive.
   
   
3. Microsoft Windows 98SE/2000/Me (Check back for updated operating system support information)
   
   

Macintosh Users

USB 1.1 Requirements:

1. Power Macintosh G4 or G3 (blue and white G3 only) or iMac computer with built-in USB connection
   
   
2. Mac OS 8.6, 9.0, 9.03, 9.04 or 9.1 (Check back for updated operating system support information)
   
   
3. CD-ROM drive or 740MB hard drive space to copy CDs
   
   
4. 40MB hard drive space required for CD mastering software. Other included software titles will require additional hard drive space.

Additional Requirements for USB 2.0:

1. Mac OS does not currently support new USB 2.0 for CD-RW drives.
